BEFORE YOU BUY A HOT TUB….

Before you buy a Hot Tub ….

When it comes to time that’s just for you, there’s nothing quite like a hot tub.  After a long day, it’s the perfect sanctuary to relax with your loved ones.  Life can be busy and stressful and often family time gets pushed to the bottom of the priority list.  Spending time in a hot tub can allow your family to communicate without distractions from phones, television and the internet.

TIPS FOR NEW HOT TUB BUYERS

A hot tub can be an amazing investment for you and your family and offer incredible benefits in therapy, relaxation and stress-relief right in your own home.  That said, hot tubs are a big investment and you will need to do some research before deciding on the right tub for you.  Ask yourself the following:

What is my budget and what do I really need from my hot tub?

Different priBeachcomber jetsce points can reflect different features, jetting and size.  When making your decision you should start with quality.  You need to consider how much your hot tub will cost to operate over time and the expected life and durability of the tub.  If you’re looking for the best hydrotherapy massage, Beachcomber’s FlexJet system allows you to tailor your own massage requirements to give you the therapy that suits you.

How many seats do you need? If you are planning on using your hot tub for yourself or you and your partner, a smaller 2-4 person capacity will be perfect.  If you are a larger family and are looking for something you and your children or friends can enjoy together socially, look for a tub that fits more.  When you’re looking at hot tubs, remember that price doesn’t necessarily equal number of seats.  We have large and small hot tubs across our 700, 500 and 300 Series so your budget doesn’t mean you won’t be able to afford a larger tub.  If you have children finding a model with a cool-down seat is important as it allows smaller bodies to safely perch higher above the water.

Where is the hot tub going? As you shop, you will start to find that most hot tubs are square or rectangular (the Beachcomber 321 is the only circular model we offer).  Before you start looking, measure out the space where you intend to place your tub.  Bear in mind that you will need extra space around at least two sides of the hot tub to allow for maintenance and accessories such as steps and a cover lThis just looked too easy!ifter.  We supply everything you need to get your hot tub up and running, including a pre-delivery site visit with help and advice, cover, cover lifter, chemical starter pack and a set of steps if necessary.  All you need to supply is the base and electrics.

What’s it made of? Beachcomber shells are made from acrylic.  Acrylic is a hard, durable plastic that is resistant to chemical and UV damage and is also stain and scratch resistant.  The Enviroskirt cabinet is designed to look beautiful for years – with real wood-look embossing and vertical construction you are assured of the best materials for a long lasting hot tub.  Beachcomber Hot Tubs are handmade in Canada and have an enviable reputation for quality, care and engineering.  Check out this video of how they are made:

What about on-going costs? It should come as no surprise that hot tubs require electricity to heat and circulate water, and power the jets and lights.  How much this will cost depends on the temperature you set the water and the frequency of use.  It will also depend on the temperature outside and the cost of your electricity.  Beachcomber hot tubs are built in Vancouver to resist the extremes of the Canadian winter and so they are superbly insulated and strongly built.  The Heatshield cover is arguably the best hot tub cover on the market and the Enviro-skirt Cabinet and Perma-Seal base protects your tub from water penetration and environmental elements.
